What is Aerial Yoga?
Aerial Yoga is a type of yoga which uses a silk hammock suspended from the ceiling . With your body weight being supported by the hammock, students are able to expand their flexibility and explore postures they may not ordinarily be able to do on the yoga mat.
What are the benefits of Aerial Yoga?
Aerial Yoga has all the benefits of a traditional yoga class. It is a complete mind-body practice. The postures done in the hammock can also help you get a deeper stretch, relieve joint pressure and spinal compression, release tension, increase muscle tone, balance and proprioception, enhance core strength, improve breath awareness, and release endorphins.
Do I need prior experience to take an Aerial Yoga Class?
No! We suggest starting with our Aerial Yoga Fundamentals class.
Who is an Aerial Yoga class NOT recommended for?
Aerial Yoga is not recommended for individuals who have high blood pressure, heart disease, cataracts, recent surgery, motion sickness, severe arthritis, recent stroke, spinal injuries, women who are pregnant, or anyone for whom hanging upside-down could cause medical complications or discomfort. Please seek medical advice if you are unsure if this class is right for you.
What should I wear to an Aerial Yoga Class?
No Jewelry, hair clips, clothing with zippers, buttons, or anything that can get caught in the hammock.

Aerial Yoga Class Descriptions
Aerial Yoga Fundamentals introduces several beginner-friendly poses and sequences. You will learn the techniques to enable you to feel comfortable & confident in the hammock. This class is great for new aerial students or for the aerial student looking to move at a slower pace and focus on their alignment. You will leave feeling confident and ready for the open level Aerial classes.
Aerial Yoga Fundamentals
Our open level class is good for beginners, experienced aerial students, or anyone ready to learn something new in a safe & fun environment. We will begin to explore more sequences and poses building on our fundamentals class. This class will introduce some simple flips and tricks, along with the opportunity to learn basic inversions. With your body weight being supported by the hammock, you able to expand your flexibility and explore postures you may not ordinarily be able to do on the yoga mat.
Aerial Yoga Open Level
Our Intermediate Aerial yoga class is for students with some Aerial Yoga experience. We will explore more advanced flows, tricks and poses allowing students to advanced their Aerial practice and achieve new goals each week.
